Draining your automatic transmission is just as essential
Every 60,000 km or every 2 years.
When should the oil be changed and at what interval?
Without symptoms:
Transmission manufacturers recommend an oil change every 60,000 km. (Please refer to your vehicle’s maintenance manual to know the exact interval for your car)
If you drive mostly in the city, the transmission is more heavily used, and we recommend changing the oil every two years.
With symptoms, here are the warning signs to look out for before the scheduled interval:
Loss of transmission responsiveness: gear changes are slower than usual
Squeaking noises when shifting gears
Clunking or jerking: the vehicle may lurch (forward or backward) even if you haven’t pressed the accelerator
Slipping between gears
