Bardahl oils: used by champions, recommended by manufacturers

The basis of oil manufacturing is 50 to 95% refined and distilled petroleum. Depending on the distillation process, the base can vary from mineral to 100% synthetic (discover the differences between mineral and synthetic motor oil). But in all cases, at the end of distillation, these oils are far from finished! Additives must be added to ensure they meet the expected properties. This is good because Bardahl has made its reputation thanks to additives!
Oil: multitasking!
Additives are chemical agents that attach to the metal parts of the mechanics to perform special functions. A good oil must: lubricate, cool, guarantee sealing, protect, transmit adequate pressure, reduce wear, be stable and anti-corrosion, keep the engine clean, disperse soot and, overall, reduce emissions. The quality of the additives will determine the oil's ability to meet all these functions.
Why Bardahl ?
Over time, the philosophy has never changed: ensuring the durability of mechanics while reducing pollutant emissions. To do this, Bardahl guarantees a high-quality lubricating film derived, on the one hand, from the best virgin and non-regenerated bases, but above all, on the other hand, from a large number of performance additives. Bardahl stands out in particular with its anti-wear additives that are on average 8 times more efficient than comparable products on the market and extreme pressure additives that are up to 5 times more resistant than the competition. This guarantees high protection for the engine and gearboxes (with its ATF machine that cleans, in addition to draining, automatic gearboxes and its dedicated oils, Bardahl also has great expertise in gearbox oils).
Up to 3 protective films
The most efficient oils in the range can even have up to 3 protective films thanks to our innovations. The first additional film is composed of Polar Plus polar molecules that act like micro-magnets on the metal. This technology allows the lubricating film to remain anchored to the metal walls, even after months of engine inactivity! For their part, the Fullerene C60 molecules provide even more protection. They behave like micro-ball bearings that, by interposing themselves between the metal surfaces of the engine, create an anti-friction protective layer, further protecting the mechanics from wear and corrosion. In more technical terms, Fullerene C60 provides high shear resistance because this molecule greatly facilitates sliding between the metal parts.
In summary, we repeat: without additives, the oil would not allow you to drive for very long.
Current trends
This trend allows the Bardahl philosophy to continue, even after more than 80 years: to preserve mechanics, the environment and people, by making them save money.
