The growing success of Superethanol E85

Superethanol E85 has many advantages. Mainly derived from sugar beet, cereals and sugar cane, it is much cleaner. It reduces CO2 emissions by 50 to 70% depending on its dosage of bioethanol, and fine particles by around 90% compared to petrol. This is why this biofuel is encouraged by the authorities and therefore much less taxed than usual fuels. At the pump, E85 costs at least 2 times less than SP95-E10 petrol! In addition, depending on the region, installing a Superethanol conversion box gives you a completely or partially free registration certificate.
Installation of an approved conversion box
E85 requires less air to burn than conventional gasoline. The installation of an approved conversion box is therefore necessary to continuously adjust the fuel flow and drive with confidence.
Cold start guaranteed!
In summer, Superethanol is composed of 15% SP 95-E10* gasoline and 85% bioethanol, hence its E85 index. In winter, the proportion of bioethanol decreases to around 65% because this clean fuel does not appreciate low temperatures. It must be said that it has fewer additives than SP95/SP98. But the approved conversion box or the original installation ensures a cold start without any difficulty. To give you even more peace of mind when driving on Superethanol, Bardahl has developed a Superethanol Treatment to add to the fuel tank from the first few kilometers. It was designed by our experts to protect the engine and the fuel supply system continuously. In addition to preserving the presence of an oil film in the engine, the Bardahl Superethanol Treatment also counteracts the hydrophilic nature of bioethanol by being a formidable water dispersant (anti-corrosion). Its effectiveness is therefore guaranteed.
And for the practical side, the graduation on the bottle makes it easy to dose according to the number of liters of fuel poured into the tank (10 ml of treatment for 10L of Superethanol E85).
Special care for injectors and the injection system
Superethanol is more stripping than SP95/SP98. This means that it tends to remove impurities from the fuel tank. In order to promote the removal of these impurities, Bardahl has developed the Superethanol Treatment, but not only that. Bardahl has also developed a specific Injector Cleaner for vehicles running on Superethanol. Thanks to its unique lubricating properties, it ensures the proper functioning of the injectors, prevents them from seizing, and promotes the removal of impurities.
A promising future
In France, manufacturers such as Renault, Dacia, Ford, Jaguar and Land Rover are already banking on models that can run on Superethanol right out of the production plant. This offers great potential for the Bardahl Superethanol range. Not to mention the number of stations that continues to increase. As of January 1, 2021, one in four stations in France offered E85 biofuel. France is also the largest European producer of bioethanol.
*Do not use E85 fuel in a vehicle not designed for this purpose. Once converted or originally equipped to run on Superethanol E85, the vehicle can run on any type of gasoline (E5, E10, E85).
